Trans Visibility Day

31st Mar, 2025

WE'VE BEEN HERE THE WHOLE TIME

note: we will return to our regularly scheduled series soon. but first...

It's my first International Trans Visibility Day!

I didn't know exactly how to celebrate today. Yesterday was the first time I've gone out of the house with my nails and eyeliner done. It was emotionally exhausting (I live in a blue town in the REDDEST county of my state). It was Sunday. After church. In a diner frequented by MAGA hat church people. I was THERE with MAKEUP and doing everything in my power to keep my head and eyes up. I tried to meet their eyes, and largely failed. It was my FIRST attempt though and I'm proud of myself for not running away. My wife was too (I got head pats and snugs).

Today, though, I took it easy. I treated myself to a day wearing my spooky girl makeup and waxing my legs. I wore nothing but my wife's four inch heels in front of a full-legth mirror and just APPRECIATED my legs.

I hope that all you out there will be able to do something for yourselves today too. We all need to be advocates, but we also need to advocate for ourselves to ourselves too. We work hard and may not give ourselves much slack.

You deserve it.

Enjoy yourself and your identity!

seriously.

YOU'RE SO WORTH IT!!!!

Happy International Trans Visibility Day All

You look pretty and/or handsome today!
